The Department of Advertising and Public Relations (A+PR) is home to artists and scholars who are passionate about strategic communication. As an A+PR student, you will come to know faculty and fellow students who share your fire for creating big ideas. Together, you will develop campaigns and strategies that move people.

  • Forbes: Editorial Design Internship – Summer 2024

    Forbes is hiring for their Editorial Design internship this Summer 2024. Interns must have a passion for journalism and storytelling and possess strong communication and design skills.

  • MSL: Graduate Fellowship

    MSL’s Graduate Fellowship program is back for Summer 2024! Upcoming graduates and rising seniors may apply for this program, running from June 3 – August 9, 2024.

  • Holle Center for Communication Arts Internship

    The Holle Center for Communication Arts invites undergraduate students to apply for an internship for the 2024-25 academic year. Applications will close March 29, 2024.

Public Relations 

Public relations is the study of public perception. Learn strategies to achieve organizational objectives, influence brand loyalty and affect a diverse, global marketplace.

Graduate Program

Our one-year master’s program offers an emphasis on leadership, management and strategy while our two-year program focuses on research and pedagogy.

Advising

All C&IS undergraduate students receive academic advising through Tisch Student Services. You should meet with their academic advisor at least once per semester to review your academic progress, degree requirements and involvement opportunities.

Funding

C&IS empowers students to write, speak, design, film and explore through scholarships and awards.

The Plank Center, housed on UA’s campus, is the leading international resource for practitioners, educators and students who are passionate about public relations. Its mission is to develop and recognize outstanding, diverse public relations leaders, role models and mentors and champion ethical public relations around the world.
